We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated IT Product Manager for our IT unit Business Solutions – Data Integration for Investment and Asset Management. Your focus will be on the development and maintenance of our analytical data platform within our core market data applications. As a Product Manager you will manage IT products that support many lines of business, including managing the demand process and consulting business colleagues. You’ll lead an agile team comprised of architects, business analysts, quality assurance and development resources, all focused on achieving the team’s goals. In this role, you will own and manage the product lifecycle including functional releases and IT upgrades, to maintain compliance, performance and ‘fit for purpose’ business functionality. You will be responsible for the secure and stable ‘run’ of the product as well as for the product costs.
Your job
- Within our market data systems, manage a homegrown platform for data analytics and Gen AI development, focusing on market data and asset management.
- Oversee the product lifecycle, including functional and IT upgrades, and ensure secure and stable operation in production, as well as coordinate incident management and root cause analysis for the market data related systems
- Manage the financial dimension of the product, including planning and controlling total costs of ownership on a yearly basis, and plan external resources that support the product.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, maintain accurate and up-to-date product documentation, and report IT internally as well as to the client through quarterly service review meetings.
- Provide coverage during quarterly and year end closings and monitor pre-trading runs/jobs in close coordination with the business to support critical business operations
- Will to support the market data application interacting with the data analytical platform is key
Your profile
To succeed in this role, consider the following requirements:
- A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience in product management, preferably in a regulated industry like insurance and financial services
- A solid grasp of investment, asset management, and related financial products
- Technical expertise in market data area, related processes, and technical infrastructure, with certifications like ITIL and Scrum, or willingness to obtain them
- Proficiency in tools like Azure Data Factory, Datalake, Databricks, Power BI, and scripting languages such as SQL+, R, Python, PowerShell, and C#
Desired qualifications:
- Customer-focused, solution-driven, and results-oriented
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic and collaborative environment
- Proven experience of working in a scaled/agile team with team members in multiple global locations
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Self-starter with an excellent ability to prioritize tasks according to KPIs
- Fluent in spoken and written English, fluency in German is a strong advantage
