Title: Underwriting Consultant Operations Lead
Location: current schedule is hybrid (40-50% in the Amelia, Ohio office)

Purpose:
Initiate, manage, and lead critical Underwriting Department deliverables at a line of business, region, and/or department level. Role could support work related to strategic project work, product/system requirements, training, quality, delegated underwriting authority, other agent-facing initiatives, and data and analytics across the Underwriting Department.
Roles & Responsibilities:

• Support/perform quality or risk control objectives
• Lead, direct, and troubleshoot process improvement solutions
• Vendor management for Personal Lines Underwriting
• Training for internal and external audiences
• Workflow management
- Change Management
- Drive and support Underwriting expertise
- Drive and deliver continuous improvement
- Primary Innovation & Digital and outsourcing liaison
- Drive Automation, Alternative data, Artificial intelligence
- Ad-hoc data & analytics support and delivering insights
- IT Liaison: Requirements building / change requests / tickets
- Go to market support
- User acceptance testing
Required Technical Skills:
- MS Office Suite applications
- Strong command of Excel (including macros)
- Project Management skills/experience
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong problem solving, diagnostic, and analytical abilities
- Power BI
- Systems and Process skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education, Certifications & Designations:
Required: Bachelor's degree or other demonstrated competencies consistent with position requirements.
Preferred: P&C insurance-relates studies
