In the division Reinsurance Controlling (RIC), the responsibilities of controlling and management reporting are bundled together to ensure a uniform controlling process. RIC advises the Reinsurance Committee (RC), RI-CEO and the RI-CFO in respect of the current economics of the Reinsurance Segment and proper allocation of resources.
The Global Expense Controlling and Analytics department acts as the Global Process Owner for expenses and is responsible for budgeting and cost allocation processes. Within the department, we strive to establish a new, dedicated section that will be in charge to provide all relevant data to steer the IT expenses as well as to ensure full compliance with regulatory and IFRS standards regarding IT financials. This especially includes the management of all closing processes for IT incl. intercompany and tax related topics across all global SSOs of IT.
We are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated professional with a strong operational mindset, responsible for managing and optimizing our IT Pricing methods, intercompany charging processes, and tax compliance – key functions that are central to Munich Re’s IT financial steering.
YOUR JOB
- Take ownership of developing and implementing methods and principles for intercompany chargebacks and transfer pricing, ensuring compliance with tax, legal and governance requirements. Act as a key point of contact for the Tax, Legal, and Audit departments
- Drive the Global IT Pricing process in collaboration with IT and business units, ensuring alignment and consistency across the organization
- Calculate group-wide charge-out rates for internal cost allocation
- Maintain and continuously enhance the Global IT Controlling framework
- Oversee the quarterly IT invoicing process from Munich Re AG (MRAG) to all Group Entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Design and coordinate internal training programs to enhance IT financial steering capabilities across the organization.
YOUR PROFILE
- A university degree or comparable professional training in Economics/Accounting or Information Technologies
- Professional experience in finance and accounting, with additional experience in IT and/or taxation considered a valuable asset
- Sound knowledge of SAP/CO, SAP BW, Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent analytical and conceptual skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to communicate complex topics clearly and concisely
- Highly proactive approach, with a strong commitment to achieving results and the ability to assertively manage priorities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in dealing with multiple interfaces, especially in international organizations.
- Client- and service-oriented with a focus on delivering value to the organization
- A collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international teams
- Fluent business English; German (minimum basic knowledge)
