Join our American Modern Insurance Group team as a Litigation Specialist, where you'll take the lead on navigating a diverse range of personal and commercial litigated claims, utilizing your expertise in coverage determination and claim negotiation. 

 

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate claims-related litigation matters from initial analysis to settlement or trial.
• Conduct thorough investigations and determine proper coverage for assigned claims, considering key facts and evaluating complex damages.
• Collaborate with Claims staff, in-house counsel, and external counsel to develop and implement effective litigation strategies.
• Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes, such as mediation and arbitration.
• Utilize approved counsel to exercise control over litigation spending for each case.
• Manage reserves and budgets efficiently, ensuring timely updates.
• Develop and execute suitable defense strategies, mitigating risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Negotiate settlements and engage in litigation activities while maintaining accurate documentation and effective communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work
• Five (5) years or more of multi-line claims handling experience
• Three or more years of litigation claims handling experience is preferred
• Experience with personal lines and commercial products, multi states, first and third party exposures
