We're seeking an experienced adjuster to join our Recreational Products Physical Damage team at American Modern Insurance Group. In this role, you'll handle marine claims from initial report to final resolution. This position has a hybrid schedule, 40-50% of the time in the office in Amelia, OH and the remaining working from home.
As a Recreational Products Adjuster, you'll:
- Manage boat and yacht claims with a sense of urgency, providing timely updates and progress throughout the process.
- Evaluate claim validity by carefully examining policy terms and supporting documentation. Direct the claims investigation process, focusing on accurate loss fact determination and damage assessments.
- Make data-driven decisions on claim reserve settings, staying within designated authority limits and escalating recommendations to management as needed.
- Maintain an diary system to track and resolve outstanding claim issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Proactively identify and report potential subrogation opportunities, working closely with experts to assess evidence and develop next steps.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- At least three years of insurance claims handling experience. Experience handling marine boat/yacht physical damage claims is preferred.
- Strong organization and interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to analyze situations, resolve problems and make quality decisions
- Insurance designations or marine accreditations are a plus (AIC, SCLA, CPCU, AMIM, MMS, ABYC, SAMS, NAMS) etc.
