Property Facultative Intern

Your jobThe Property Facultative Intern will gain experience in multiple property and agribusiness lines. Our intern will learn many different intricacies of the business, and be exposed to both the internal and market-facing roles of a facultative underwriter. They will learn how reinsurance treaties, programs, and facultative placements differ in form, rating, and execution. The intern will also be able to identify the role of an underwriter, client manager, catastrophe modeler and actuary in maintaining a successful program placement.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in enhancing our agribusiness. This includes comparing the structures and rating of our two animal mortality treaties, as well as creating an electronic filing system for special acceptances.
- Creating a template for property program business. This includes learning how property program business is rated, understanding our existing template for property certificate business, and then creating a program version based on the existing certificate template.
