The section IT Business Solutions RI P&C delivers business value through management of IT products including execution of change projects, and delivery of agile IT product management, application development and IT operational support. The product and project portfolio of IT Business Solutions RI P&C covers all underwriting, pricing and claims management solutions for all Non-Life Reinsurance lines of business.
To complement our teams of recognized IT experts, we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals. The section IT Business Solutions RI P&C Solutions is holding the worldwide IT account management for Non-Life Reinsurance Underwriting as well as the responsibility for maintenance and development of the corresponding IT systems, in particular the Underwriting Platform, Exposure Management Platform and systems supporting Facultative & Corporate business.
We are looking for an Application Support Specialist to complete the transition of Business Managed Applications (BMA’s) to IT managed applications supporting underwriting non-life processes. As part of this transition missing technical documentation needs to be created / updated following our Munich Re standard processes and templates. Missing information needs to be gathered / consolidated from IT and business stakeholders including the stable and compliant operations of these applications.
This position will be located in Munich.
Your Job
- Transition and Run responsibility for former Business Managed Applications in close collaboration with business stakeholders and IT Technical Architecture
- Creation and maintenance of all necessary product documentation supporting the complete run and compliance lifecycle of the IT products
- Conducting and updating Standard Assurance and Compliance certifications, and checking that the products are running secure and compliant including all aspects of VAIT
- Ensuring the stable run of the products, including setup and management of run, support, incident and monitoring processes aligned with the needs of the business
- Management of software licenses needed for the products
- Management of IT sourcing activities to enable run services for the IT products
- Management of the related IT products with respect to product costs, budgeting and charging
- Continuous check of incident volume including root causes and infrastructure settings to setup necessary improvement measures
Your Profile
- University degree, preferably in Computer Engineering / IT or similar qualification
- Knowledge in agile software development processes and technical documentation e.g., architecture documentation based on arc42 or creation of architecture diagrams using tools like draw.io, PlantUml, Visio.
- Basic technical knowledge in IT development components and techniques (PL/SQL, C#, Power BI, R, SSAS, Azure Services).
- Understanding of different software architectures like client-server, data warehouse, single page applications, fat-client, etc.
- Basic technical knowledge of different infrastructure technologies and components like Windows Server, Kubernetes, file shares, firewalls.
- Experience and willingness to create and maintain all necessary product and compliance documentation in a structured way
- Talent in capture things quickly as well as structure and orchestrate topics
- Strong planning, coordination and organizational skills to ensure smooth processes
- Flexibility and bringing a curious and creative mindset, open to new things and able to propose innovative ideas
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Consulting and collaborative working style creating a culture of accountability and sharing
- A high degree of commitment and the willingness and ability to master the various tasks
- Fluently spoken and written English
