The GPO Life Global Accounting Governance, Processes and System Oversight Team (RIA1.5.5) is a center of competence within RIA Life & Health, responsible for IFRS 17 closing, reporting and quality assurance. It also deals with all topics related to the global RI Life & Health accounting systems (e.g. SAP FS-RI/FS-CD/FPSL) from an oversight perspective.
We are looking for a qualified and dedicated professional to join our team in this interesting and dynamic environment. The role has a wide range of responsibilities and offers many development opportunities. As a Process Consultant, you will play a key role within the team by developing and maintaining LH's global accounting processes and controls in collaboration with various stakeholders globally.
Your Job
- Support the responsible Senior Consultant in the development and maintenance of global mandatory LH Accounting Process and Control requirements under IFRS17 and IFRS9
- Contribute to the maintenance of the relevant documentation centrally, together with all relevant stakeholders in RIA and the international organizations (e.g. ICS)
- Provide input on the structural efficiency of the global LH accounting organisation and monitor its costs
- Lead relevant global projects and working groups, assuming global responsibilities as necessary
- Collaborate with international organizations to review concepts and implement changes
- Provide guidance and support to local Life and Health reinsurance accounting units to ensure alignment with global IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 processes, controls and regulations
- Maintain and improve processes and controls with central valuation and reporting teams
- Conduct internal and external training on accounting and closing topics
Your Profile
- Degree in business administration with specialization in accounting or a degree in insurance business administration
- Several years of experience in accounting, ideally with knowledge of international accounting
- Knowledge and experience in accounting processes according to IFRS (especially IFRS 17 and IFRS 9)
- Interest in cooperating with various interfaces, especially in an International organization
- Good analytical and conceptual skills, eagerness to tackle and illustrate complex issues
- Willingness to accept and implement challenging topics in a dynamic environment
- Ability to work in international teams
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Relevant experience with Process Modelling Tools (e.g. ADONIS)
- Excellent command of English
- Willingness to travel
